About Hout-doe
You are at the front door of the largest and most versatile "sustainable wooden toy (web) shop" in the Netherlands. We have more than 9000 wooden items, quality dolls and retro vehicles, the better toys. You have a one-year warranty on all wooden toys and we have our own traditional wood workshop.
Orders that are in stock and ordered before 3 pm on a working day will be shipped the same day via Post NL. Shipping costs in the Netherlands eur 6,75 per order. Free shipping from eur 75,00. If items have to come from one of the shops, shipping can be 1 or 2 days later.

We combine the convenience of our online store with the confidence of the regional specialty store around the corner. Of course you can also just walk into our cozy shops at the Paris Boulevard 180 in Utrecht Leidsche Rijn, the Hoofdstraat 58a in Schijndel (temporarily closed) or the Minderbroedersstraat 27 in the heart of 's-Hertogenbosch. Young and old can come to feel and experience. It must be very strange if we cannot meet your (wooden) toy wish. Much is displayed in the shops live and out of the box and all children are allowed to play in the shop. Hout-doe is a dealer of almost all better wooden toy brands. Of course we supply the entire collection of all our brands, including that which is not shown on our website.

Hou-doe is the Brabant farewell greeting with which people wish each other the best. Take care in English or "take care" is the purest English translation. Hout-doe is our philosophy for hours of playing and developing fun with sustainable, affordable wooden and better toys. We bet that after visiting our (web) shop you will also do Wood!
Wooden toys are timeless: Our shop in Schijndel is located in a monumental building which was built around 1880 as a residence and some time later expanded with a bay on the left. The ceiling in the living room is richly painted by Mr Domburg. Motivation for inclusion on the municipal monument list: the eclectic building is important because of the architectural integrity and appearance of the exterior and the special detailing in the interior. By giving the building a shopping destination, Hout-doe, Schijndel is open monument day every day! Our shop in Den Bosch is located on the foundations of the former Friars Minor Monastery in the middle of the middle of 'des Hertogenbosch' 'Our youngest branch, the shop in Utrecht Leidsche Rijn is brand new. The entire center was built in 2018 as the capstone of the Vinexwijk Leidsche Rijn. Spatially with a ceiling height of 8 meters and industrially modern, this store is ahead of its time.
Sustainable wooden toys All our toys are solid, educational, playable and affordable. In addition, all toys comply with the latest European toy directive EN-71, they are produced in responsible production environments combined with the most responsible possible CO2 emissions (transport) and much of the wood used comes from PEFC / FSC certified forests.
Waste prevention Hout-doe contributes to waste prevention by taking in obsolete or damaged toys and giving them a second chance. Wood, the basis of the toy, does not wear out. It is often a small repair or a boost with a lick of safe paint that breathes new life into a discarded toy. Every year we surprise a good cause with this second chance toy, which it then sells at an annual fair or toy fair. This makes wooden toys accessible to everyone under the heading of second chance toys.
Packing material. Recycled packaging material is used as much as possible to send orders. To protect the products against damage, we use recycled boxes with as filling material - if necessary - recycled cardboard and paper. Through this recycling we prevent paper waste and contribute to the most sustainable use of the raw material.
Social commitment We further demonstrate our social commitment by annually donating the second chance toys to a local charity that is chosen annually.
